Part 2 of this tutorial. See Part 1 here.
Lay out both of your prints and cut the front pattern piece.
Cut the side pattern piece.

Flip the side pattern piece over and cut again. Be sure you reverse it!

With one print only, lay right sides together. It is hard to tell from the picture, but if you really look you can see the front piece is right side facing up, and each of the side pieces are right side down. Pin together down the left and right sides only, from under the armpit area.

Sew together starting at just about the top of the curve at the underarm area, where you see my pointer finger. Sew straight down the side stopping at the bottom of the side piece. Do this for both sides.
When you open it up, you have this.
Follow those same steps for the other print you're using.
Place the 2 prints right sides together and opened up.

First pin the seams together so that they match up well on your finished product. Pin where the seams match up on the side pieces of each print at the top and bottom, like where you see my fingers. Then, pin around the edges of the rest of the dress.

Now, start sewing where you see my finger. This is at the top, righthand corner of the right shoulder strap of the front piece. You will sew down from there and all the way around to the top left hand corner of the left shoulder strap on the front piece. Leave the shoulder straps as well as the neck on the front piece open. See picture below.

This picture shows the parts you do not sew at this point. Also, make a couple of tiny notches in the neck area (where you see my thumb) to help the fabric turn in on itself in a curve. I made 4 of them in the curved area, less than 1/4" long.
